Do you see the whole show before making your remarks? Doesn’t look like you watched act 2, in a forest. Also, do know that in the original the first act is not in garden? She is not a tree, she is a gardener. Maybe you are mixing her up with Dafne? 😝

I love Eliane Coelho's interpretation, especially the way she brings out the lower notes in the immolation scene. Many sopranos are often concentrating on working towards the high notes, and these lower notes are often not given their full worth in many interpretations I have heard. Very good!
No one can say "I can't hear her", which often happens. 😅

A lot of interesting design and direction ideas! Very fresh. E. Blancke-Biggs did a great job in that killer role--a lot of musical nuances that I have not heard a Turandot use. I was surprised at the direction of the suicide of Liu; great idea but it kind of left Timur without a corpse to address. The chorus and orchestra were magnificent. The operatic sun does not rise and set at the Metropolitan Opera. There are a lot of excellent performances all over the world.

I get the impression that she has one of those voices that doesn’t record well. Many who heard her live said the same of Birgit Nilsson. The core of her sound is a true dramatic soprano. I agree that there is a slight tremolo in the voice, but the more I listen to her, the more I can overlook it. In a world that virtually has Butterfly singing Brunhilde, we should celebrate this young dramatic soprano. I’d love to hear her in the theatre. It’s almost impossible to experience a voice of this kind today❤
This is a wobble. Even if not big but the vibrato also goes inverted and she sounds more flat than she is.
